Moscow Mansion wants to give you a Christmas bonus. Let’s be lookie-loos together and venture into this bright, inviting, delightfully stylish home.
We entered the house through the owner/designer Kelly’s favorite room… the very attractive, striped walled foyer. With four athletic children and all their accoutrements, Kelly delights in the fact that her brick floored foyer is carefree.
From there we stepped into the living area and into a Christmas wonderland! The bright, inviting living room is anchored by a charming, antique grey coffee table (purchased at Hurd’s in Rockford,WA). This coffee table is one of Kelly’s favorites and was made from a dining table. The room is the preferred gathering place for the family. The amazing natural light throughout all the rooms is perfect for cozy Christmas get-togethers.
Kelly and her husband Ed designed the house with hospitality in mind. Kelly is not a huge fan of the “open concept” idea. She does not want to see dirty dishes in the kitchen while seated at the dining table. Butcher block counter tops were a must in the kitchen design; they add warmth to the beautiful room.
Although Kelly delights in the reds and greens of Christmas, she also enjoys packing it all away soon after the holiday and returning to her soothing neutral palette.
